At Seton Coastside, we are dedicated to meeting the needs of our surrounding coastal community. We take pride in operating a well-equipped and staffed 24-hour Emergency Department. In addition to providing this invaluable service to our Coastal residents, we offer radiology/mammography, clinical laboratory services, rehabilitation therapy, physical, occupational and speech therapy.
Emergency Department
As the only 24-hour standby Emergency Department on the Pacific Coast from Daly City to Santa Cruz, Seton Coastside is highly valued by the community it serves. Accredited as a not-for profit rural hospital, the medical center meets many of the healthcare needs of this rural community. Our emergency room consists of a seven-bed department and is well equipped with state-of-the-art equipment. The Emergency Department is staffed 24 hours a day, with a physician and registered nurse, qualified in emergency medicine. If needed, we have the capability to transfer our critically ill patients to a tertiary facility via air or ground.
Acute Care Unit
Seton Coastside also offers for our community, a five-bed medical adult Acute Care Unit, providing compassionate quality patient care close to home. We are very pleased with the results of our patient satisfaction responses. Our patients speak very highly of our care, compassion and quality services they receive at Seton Coastside.
Teddy Bear Clinic
To acquaint local children with the Emergency Room under ideal circumstances, Seton Medical Center hosts an annual free Teddy Bear Clinic. Children are invited to bring their stuffed animals to the hospital where a team of medical professionals examine and treat the ailing toys.
